THORNDIKE — There was a distinct Waldo County flavor to the Mustang-hosted high school track-and-field meet on Saturday, May 8 as Belfast and Mount View competed, along with two other schools.
The unbeaten Lions won the team competitions and Belfast and Mount View student-athletes enjoyed a bundle of first-place performances.
The girls team scores were: Belfast 115, Mount View 44, Nokomis of Newport 31 and Maranacook of Readfield 27.
The boys team scores were: Belfast 145, Nokomis 52, Mount View 29 and Maranacook 2.
