TLC students and staff had a wonderful opportunity to learn about the life cycle and development of chickens. Ms. Brea generously brought in some of her eggs and an incubator, guiding us through the fascinating process of raising chickens. The students were captivated by the experience and especially thrilled to witness a few chicks hatching yesterday. It’s been an unforgettable and educational journey for everyone involved!

THMS Environmental Art Class - Snow Drawings
Inspired by English artist Simon Beck's snow drawings, 6th graders in the Environmental Art class created a collaborative geometric design in the February snow.
An exhibit of playground design proposals for the THMS campus was presented to the school board on January 27. Over the past five months, a dedicated group of students have created models and maps inspired and informed by the student body. Students considered existing spaces and researched structures and solutions that meet and enhance their middle school peers' health and learning readiness. These designs were shared with the school board to help plan future play, gathering and learning spaces around the school.
A special thanks to the members of the Playground Design Committee.
The THMS chorus sang at Winward Gardens in November.
They sang a selection of patriotic songs in honor of Veterans Day.
On Wednesday, January 22nd, the high school band came over to play with the THMS 7th and 8th graders. After some icebreaker activities, the students practiced Star Wars and a multi-movement piece called A Prehistoric Suite, with each of the four movements named after dinosaurs. We plan on performing these songs for some of the district's 5th graders in March at the high school for Music in Our Schools Month.
