RSU71 Future Search Survey

RSU 71 is in the process of gathering information from community members, students and staff with the goal of developing a vision of what we want education to be in the future for our students.  This process is called a Future Search and will help us create a vision for our school system. The direction set in this Future Search will become the basis of an education plan to guide our school system over the next few years.

Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey:  RSU71 Future Search Survey

A committee of community members, students and staff will examine the survey data to determine the strengths and needs for RSU 71 as we move forward.  We appreciate your willingness to share your insights with us in this brief survey!

This survey will close on March 25th.

RSU 71 joins RiSE Center in a $1.35M STEM education project in coastal schools awarded from the NSF

The National Science Foundation has funded the Maine Center for Research in STEM Education initiative to explore how engaging students in coastal research projects can:

  • Help students build data literacy and career competency
  • Aid local policy and planning.

The $1.35 million award will involve multiple RSU71 schools over a 4 year period. Other Maine schools will also be involved with the project.

Here's the RISE Center's press release about the project:
